Fort House Concept Design / by The Drawing Room

We’ve loved working on this concept design with our clients.

They came to us following a recommendation from another client, which is always nice! Their brief was to create a 7000 sq.ft home with a separate 1500 sq.ft visitor house on the grounds. This totals nine suited bedrooms complemented with sprawling living accommodation.

We’ve combined a soft palette of materials to include lime-washed timber & brick, cedar roof shingles and minimal frame glazing with planting inside & out.

The client brief was underpinned by the need to be environmentally sensitive. We’ve adopted the 'build tight, ventilate right' principles to ensure the house conserves as much energy as possible and recovers heat from the air. This will be accompanied by photovoltaic panels and air source heat pumps to generate energy for the home.

Our team is working on the final drawings to submit to planning but hope you enjoy the sneak peek.
